You sit in the left seat and fly the airplane yourself for most of the flight, with me handling the parts you haven't learned yet. We'll go over some basics on the ground, take off from Van Nuys, and take in LA from the cockpit while you feel what it's like to actually control an airplane. And because it's an instructional flight, the time still counts toward the hours you need for your private pilot certificate.
We go over the plan and walk around the airplane together. You'll see exactly how a pilot checks a plane before every flight.
Once we're airborne I hand you the controls. Climbs, turns, gentle descents. You'll be flying the airplane yourself.
Feel how the airplane responds and take in the view. I handle radios and anything you haven't learned yet.
We land back at Van Nuys, log the time, and I'll give you an honest read on what your path to a license looks like.
About 30 minutes of ground training plus an hour of flight time.
Every minute counts toward your certificate, so it's money already invested in your training, not a one-off cost.
